The standard test detects only sexually transmitted Chlamydia trachomatis, not C. pneumoniae. This is a peculiar situation, since the immune system generally clears pharyngeal (oral) chlamydia within a couple of weeks. And 7 days doxycycline always cures it. Any chance you were reinfected by new oral sex on a partner since treatment? Or maybe a lab problem with their chlamydia tests. Good luck.
