I had chlamydia in my throat, not in my genitals. which is rarer from what i understand. i took 7 days antibiotics, so did my partner. we waited no sex, i retested 6 weeks later and still have in my throat! how and why?

This partly duplicates your earlier question. Two possibilities: Were you given the correct antibiotic? Doxycycline or a related drug (tetracycline class) is the only 100% reliable treatment. Or a false positive test result -- rare for chlamydia, but not impossible. If not previously treated with doxy, do that now. If you were, you may need to see an infectious diseases expert to work this out.
