If one is tested negative for hpv last 3 years in row with the e6/e7 mrna but positive this year when changed labs and tested with the reflex dna cotest hr hpv / negative genotest 16/18 why is there a difference in tests ? which is more accurate ?

If additional sexual partners occur, testing for the more serious HPV types (16/18) may be positive, which are usually treated by your GYN physician with colposcopy and biopsy, as these serologic types can lead to cancer of the cervix.
