31y.old.pap test(thin prep) says intense cervix inflammation ,reactive abnormalities related to inflammation. no other abnormalities. no malignancy. should i check for hpv even ther is no lsil or hsil??only symptom mild pain during sex?

Pain is a component of HSV, however it originates in genital ulcer formation, and is unrelated to general cervical inflammation. These pain cources may be symptomatically difficult to distinguish, but see your GYN physician for guidance. HSV is very contagious, and may accompany the pap smear diagnosis of "reactive abnormalities".

You need a clinical exam by your Gyn to find cause for cervx inflammation and let her/him decide if any tests are needed
