I did my first pap smear, 2 days after my period [the doctor saw blood on my cervix] and 6 days after sex. results: isolated ascus . hpv suspected. moderate inflammation and reactive cellular noted. limited by suboptimal preservation. explain please?

"ASCUS" means "abnormal squamous cells of uncertain significance", and signifies cellular changes , non-malignant, with said changes consistent with possible human papilloma virus or just chronic inflammation. A repeat Pap smear is usually done in six months.
