A 52-year-old male asked:
52 years old w/ a history of kidney stones. 4 mm stone in left kidney, 3 mm stone in right. blood in urine. minor discomfort. cystoscopy performed last may for similar symptoms. can a stone cause bloody urine and pain while still in kidney?

Yes. Suggest you see a Urologist who will try to find the cause and type of the stones and advise what needs to be done. In the meantime drink plenty of water. Good luck.

Yes. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. The stones are small enough that these could pass on their own. You doctor may consider lithotripsy to breakdown the stones with sound waves so that these could pass out with urine.
