A member asked:

Pain in abdomen and back. went to er and the ct showed a 2mm and 6 mm stone in my right kidney. the doctor said he didn't think this was causing my pain because of the location. also, a small amount of blood in urine. couldn't those cause pain?

Small non obstructing stones in the kidney are usually incidental findings and rarely cause abdominal pain. they can produce blood in urine on exam. The doc who examined you is right for he co-related the findings with his clinical exam.
