Did your Doctor make any recommendations about your diet to help with elimination and what you could do to treat the hemorrhoids with a topical solution like witch hazel? If your Doctor isn’t helping please see another for a second opinion.

Your complaint necessitates at least a rectal exam and possibly an anoscope, both of which are simple exams involving minimal discomfort if done properly. It might be from hemorrhoids but definite and not speculative diagnosis has to be made. There are problems and solutions. Avoid constipation. No need to worry- just have an MD diagnose and treat you.

Rectal bleeding should be investigated but, if there's only bright red blood on the paper and not mixed with stool, a benign condition like hemorrhoids is likely. Intermittent flat stools are often caused by constipation. Eat fiber foods in the form of fruits & vegetables or take a fiber supplement like Metamucil. Be sure to drink lots of fluids also. Regular exercise will help. See proctologist
