: CDC guidelines for PrEP and HIV testing in high risk patients is as follows: Daily PrEP medication use (1 tablet daily) and HIV testing every 3 months. It is not enough to use the PrEP formulation as you have described. If you are having high risk sex, use IV drugs or other high risk behaviors, you should be tested every 3 months.
