A member asked:

Er dr saw vaginal lesions in november and said herpes. 12 weeks later i had igg and igm and both are <0.91 negative! is this conclusive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaginal lesions: Herpes I and II produce painful depressed ulcer-like lesions, and both IgG and IgM antibody titers at 12 weeks later should be positive if this were Herpes I or II. Although there are conditions which would inhibit antibodies to Herpes and other viruses, it is almost certain that although Herpes is very communicable, this past episode was not herpetic in nature.
