Maybe: The Ig M titer is the titer that shows initial infection, with time it will change to a positive IgG. These of course are lab values. If you have symptoms then it is confirmation of HSV. HSV 1 is oral or common lip blisters. HSV2 is genital herpes. Unusual that both HSV 1 and 2 are turning positive at same time. In any event both are ubiquitous in the population.
