I used some cotton balls to block my ears b/c went to an event with loud dj music.the cotton balls were in a plastic bag.it was placed on a table which wasn't clean.can cotton balls get contaminated&cause infection to my ears?have felt pain in ears.

Doubtful: I wouldn't think so. I wonder if you may have pushed some cerumen back toward the tympanic membrane, in the process of using these cotton balls. Sometimes trauma can cause external otitis but I wouldn't expect this from using cotton balls.
