I : I hope you are better by now. For anyone reading this post or for your future reference, you can always call the doctor that is treating you. He/she will tell you if they think you should come back into the office, go to the er, or they may just want to change your medication. In your case the antibiotics were not adequate or they may not have been necessary since many ear infections are viral and tend to clear on their own over time. If for some reason you are still in pain and have not seen your doctor do so immediately. All the best.
