A member asked:

How can you heal 2-3 mm hole in ear membrane (cotton stick usage) after 10 days unsuccessful otipax low dose drop treatment; no bacterial infection?

Ear drum hole: How do you know how big the hole is? Did an ENT see you? Most estimates of the ear drum size are inaccurate unless done by an ent. The good news is most small ear drum perforations heal beautifully and you just have to give it time. If it does not heal in a few months most holes can be easily fixed by placing a paper graft over the tympanic membrane after freshening up the edges. Good luck!

Perforation-ENT: Moste perforations of the tympanic membrane require ENT evaluation- some heal spontaneously and some never closed and may require surgery: get an expert opinion.
