Depends: The change in bowel habit is curious; if by this you mean you are having trouble controlling your bowels (i.e., incontinence), go to the er right away. Otherwise, it's difficult to answer the question without knowing more about the back condition. The pain in the left gluteus may be suggestive of pinched nerve, radiculopathy, sciatica, piriformis syndrome. Best to check with your doctor right away.

Family practice: You probably have disk disease that is pressing against a nerve root. It involves the sciatic nerve and possibly the sacral nerve. It may be serious so see your dr soon.

Read answer : "bad back pain", "pain in left bum cheek" (radiculopathy or sciatica), along with problems with bowel or bladder control places a condition known as cauda equina syndrome in the differential diagnosis. The nausea and headache can be due to worsened back pain if that is the case. Although rare & unlikely, the condition is often missed & diagnosed after permanent damage has set in.
