Muscle contraction: This sounds like a muscle contraction tension type headache which is associated with nausea and lightheadedness. Frequent or persistent headaches should be evaluated by a physician or neurologist to be sure, however. Muscle relaxants, tranquilizers or stress management may be prescribed.
