My wife just was told from pap test she has gonorrhea. is it possible i infected her 3 years ago and we both had no symptoms till she had recent pain?

GC in women: is frequently asymptomatic. In men, it usually causes urethral pain and discharge. So anything is possible, but men usually get treated earlier than women.
