This is safe &available for anyone over 2, &a assumes normal GI anatomy without inflammation, stenosis, extrinsic or instrinsic obstruction. Change in bowels is a "red flag", like weight loss or blood in stool, that needs evaluation if persistent

Ever since giving birth, Ive had blood in stool. I went to a gastroenterologist, & I got a flexible sigmoidoscopy, which showed I had hemorrhoids. It found 1 polyp, but after biopsy, it was a normal one. A year later, I still find bright blood. Why?
No bm's for days;when bm comes, stool is hard at first, turns ribbon-like, then very soft, and then bright red blood. Many trips to toilet. Colonoscopy showed only benign polyp. What could cause this?
Dx: chron's 14 yrs ago. Recent blood in stool. Scope revealed mild ulceration. Seems like too much blood to be from 2-3 small ulcers in rectum.
