Stress fracture: It sounds like a stress fracture and that you may have a right achilles. This is putting to much force on the forefoot and causing gradual injury to the bones. 1st treatment is rest, then proper shoe gear and a stretching regimen. Best to see a foot and ankle orthopedist to confirm the diagnosis and start proper treatment.

Foreffot pain: The pain you are describing can also be located between the 3rd and 4th metatarsals, refrred to as a morton's neiuroma. Particular painful when you're on the ball of the foot or wearing tight shoes. It could also be due to a forefoot imbalance (forefoot varus) and could be developin g stress to those metatarsals, possibly even a stress fracture. See a foot specialist for an x-ray to rule out a fra.
