All the same: Generally speaking, all the antidepressants elevating the amount of serotonin in the synapse, including snris like cymbalta, as well as ssris like viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) are equally effective for anxiety and depression but vary in their side effect profile. Viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) per early studies seems to have less effect on sexual function than other ssris, but is no more effective than other antidepressants for anxiety.
