Do what your dr says: If your dr is in agreement, then fine. With your bipolar disorder and ocd, it may be more reasonable because sounds like the snr i maybe too stimulating and causing more recent racing thoughts. Viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) has a predominantly ssri effect. Although i'm not aware of any formal testing of it in ocd it could prove to be helpful and hopefully less stimulating as regards the racing thoughts. It's drug drug interaction profile is also not bad. Weight gain is rarely a problem on it. Make sure that you give it an adequate dose and at least and eatfood with it for adequate absorption. A trial of at least 8 to 12 weeks would be in order.Best wishes and i hope you're feeling better soon.

Buckle up: I am not sure this will be comfortable for you but everyone is unique! Cymbalta (duloxetine) withdrawal is notorious in terms of how tough it can be although not everyone experiences this. I think your prescribing physician is smart by getting as low as possible with the Cymbalta (duloxetine) prior to the transition. You may want to pour some beads out of the Cymbalta (duloxetine) capsule to get the dose lower before the transition!
