Extraction bone loss: That's an interesting question. I doubt a bone block would 'stabilize' the area. Whether or not you should have bone grafting? Periodontal treatment? Dental implants? Another type of restoration? Other dental treatment? Would require a one on one clinical exam, x-rays, and further analysis. Discuss these issues with a local general dentist or prosthodontist for the proper advice and guidance.

Stabilize: Bone exists to deal with stress. When teeth are extracted, bone dissolves away as it is no longer needed to support teeth. Replacing the bone will be only temporary unless the bone is given something to support, such as implants. Talk to your General Dentist or a Prosthodontist about how to proceed.
