Varies: The type and duration of antibiotics needed is based upon the type of bacteria involved and it's relative sensativity to various antibiotics as well as the extent of the infection as well. If there is any question, the assistance of an infectious disease specialist can be helpful. Sometimes, further surgery is required.

Post op infection: Your surgeon should be managing your infection. Since the cause is unknown, it's hard to give you advice. Unfortunately these are some of the complications of your procedures.
