It is safe: Statistically it is safe as osteonecrosis of the jaw from osteoporosis meds occurs only very rarely. The longer the interval between the Reclast (zoledronic acid) infusion and the dental work, the less the risk.

Statistically, Yes: If you take research seriously, and most of us in the profession definitely do, then there is little chance of osteonecrosis of bone from a single IV dose of reclast (zoledronic acid). That said, your chances are higher than someone who does not take reclast (zoledronic acid), and the IV form (versus the oral pill) is also a more elevated risk, statistically. Overall, talk with your dmd and get his/her take, but you should be fine.
