A member asked:

In the hands of a preeminent dental surgeon, how traumatic is it for me to get a 2 tooth bone block as pre-implant procedure using cow or cadavor bone?

Routine: Routine procedure for the oral surgical specialist. You will have some manageable soreness for a few days afterward. Follow surgeon's post-op instructions to the letter.

Wow-That's great 4U!: Implants are a great benefit! bone block grafting can be done by most any qualified oral surgeon, periodontist, or general dentist--all of whom have had additional training to be able to perform the procedures predictably. Trauma is that of most any dental surgery(safer because of the allo/xenograft source)-ok with pain control & anti-inflammatory meds, and good oral hygiene.
