Don't worry: The cortisone produced will be your own and not significant enough to cause side effects even if your adrenal is normal.

My 9am cortisol was 8.6. A short synacthen test stimulated it to 24.5 so I think it ruled out Addinsons? What about secondary adrenal insufficiency? How low is cortisol in that? My FSH, LH, prolactin, testosterone are normal, TSH was 0.9, SHBG 27?
Besides Addisons disease and adrenal insufficiency what can cause your cortisol to be in the low/normal range all day, and below normal before bed?
