A member asked:

My 9am cortisol was 8.6. a short synacthen test stimulated it to 24.5 so i think it ruled out addinsons? what about secondary adrenal insufficiency? how low is cortisol in that? my fsh, lh, prolactin, testosterone are normal, tsh was 0.9, shbg 27?

Your cortisol level is on the low side of normal, not low. You do not have pituitary or adrenal problem by those results, you should not worry about this topic.
