Medical school: You are 17 & in high school. You should have a grade, good essay writing ability, high sat score, some volunteer work at hospital, or community, or peace corp volunteer. You have to maintain gpa> 3.7 in college to get into medical school. For head of the class, be good team player first, then captain. You have to excel in human communication, recent technology, campus activities & studies.

learn to learn: One of the most important attributes of a physician is the ability to learn. After formal training is complete, we still need to continue to learn for a lifetime. Develop the skills to become an independent learner. Seek other sources of knowledge in addition to your teachers. Take some beginning courses in anatomy and physiology so that you will have some familiarity with them later on.

Dedication : Number one, find opportunities to volunteer in a hospital, find a doctor to shadow to see if medicine us for you. Becoming a physician is about hard work and dedication. Academic excellence opens a lot of doors. Having said that, i love what i do. Never give up on your dreams.
