I am full time in miami and my physician specialist in manhattan, nyc. he gave me rx for a ct scan with contrast for a gi tumor. do i go to radiology at univ. of miami (has medical school) for ct or travel to houston for ct that they send to nyc?

I would contact the radiology department at your location and see if they will do the procedure. If they will accept the authorization from an out of state doctor their insurance department would also need verification of coverage if doing it that way. These departments can send the digital file of the imaging anywhere you want.
