Why worried?: Guillain-Barré syndrome causes rapidly progressive weakness. Pins & needles is a lay term for paresthesias, i.e. tingling. But sensory symptoms are very minor compared to the weakness. Sometimes a viral illness precedes onset by a week or so. GBS is rare. Lots of things cause paresthesias. If you become too weak to walk by next Tuesday, then worry about GBS. Otherwise, rest easy.

Comments: First, why are you worried about guillain-barre syndrome which is an acute progressive weakness process, and mainly afflicts motor fibers. Pins and needles may reflect tingling, and perhaps sensory nerve process, or even problem within spinal cord. Since this appears to cause anxiety, get to a physician and get examined and diagnosed soon.
