Not clear: I am skeptical about your diagnosis, as guillain-barre usually a fairly significant event with transient substantial weakness, but could instead be chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, which has a more indolent progressive course. Did your doctor get spinal fluid? Did he/she suggest ivig infusions to treat the problem? Are the EMG findings classical or equivocal?
