Bones take 6-8 weeks: Bones typically take 6-8 week to heal from a fracture. Depending on the type of break she had and where on the metatarsal she broke the bone will determine the length of time immobilization is needed as well as when she can begin to walk on it. You need to ask the doctor that applied to cast for specifics regarding her case.

Fractures: Take 6-8 weeks to heal so i would advise minimum of 6 weeks then another x-ray to see if its healed.
