I have a metatarsal hairline fracture, it's been 2.5 weeks. i am currently in a cast. my foot swells up when i walk, is that okay?

Swelling is typical: Swelling would be typical while the foot is healing from the fracture. If you elevate the foot, the swelling should go down. If it is not going down with elevation, you should talk to your doctor. The cast could be too tight or you could develop a blood clot in your leg from being in the cast.
