Overdo: In theory; but it s not indicated (off label) and hard to justify the risks involved (agranulocytosis, seizures, death) not to mention the monitoring required. It should not be an alternative.

Thanks for asking!: Clozaril (clozapine) has many severe side effects. There are sleep medications with mild side effects. Consult your psychiatrist.

Insomnia: That would be like using a cannon instead of a fly swatter to kill a fly. Clozapine (brand names: Versacloz, FazaClo, Clozaril) is an antipsychotic medication used as a treatment for refractory Schizophrenia & for Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder associated with recurrent suicidal behavior. It has been used off-label for refractory bipolar disorder, intermittent explosive disorder & PTSD
