Not usually: It is possible, with rest and activity avoidance your pain can be diminished but the problem may not totally go away. Physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, and possible steroid injections can aid in pain reduction. Depending on the severity of the partial tear you may need surgery to eliminate the impingement and to repair the tear.
