Dr. Barry Callahan
Hand Surgery 31 years experience
Slow recovery: Assuming it was an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair it means 3-6 months of rehab. Of course large tears and method of repair affects this. Follow your therapist and surgeon instructions to a t and remember that over doing it doesn't get you better faster, it can actually have the opposite effect. Good luck!
Dr. James Flanagan
Orthopedic Reconstructive Surgery 48 years experience
Shoulder recovery: It should take 3-4 months.
