How is a partial thickness articular sided tear of the infraspinatus tendon as well impingement syndrome treated and what can happen if left untreated ?

Treatment starts w/ physical therapy for range of motion ,pain. Shoulder injection of steroid can decrease inflammation and pain, that may or may not be long lasting .I do not advise more than 1 injection, as too many can weaken the muscles/ligaments. More novel treatment include prolotherapy and plate rich plasma injection W/o tx tighter, less range. F/u/ w/ ortho& regenerative medicine

If left untreated a partial tear can become a complete tear of the rotator cuff. At that point, the treatment options are surgery or living with an impairment.
