Ovaries with cysts: Pcod translates polycystic ovary disorder or disease and here refers to presence of many cysts within both ovaries. Multiple antral follicles at or above 1mm diameter ('cycts') are normal during reproductive years but should appear to be maturing toward a large ovulatory follicle in cycling females. Pcod is a concern if all cysts appear similar in size or large without ability to release an egg.
