Depends on symptoms: A dominant follicle is a normal physiologic part of an ovary during the ovulation cycle. Multiple small follicles at the periphery of one/both ovaries can be seen in PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease/syndrome), but clinical correlation with symptoms (inc hair loss, menstrual problems, depression, etc.) is needed, typically assessed by an Ob/Gyn.
