Hormones and others: Pcos/pcod is not actually an ovarian problem but is the gyn portion of this disorder, the root cause of which is probably due to Insulin insensitivity. Women with this disorder often have high blood sugar and cholesterol, and these levels need to be checked while the patient is fasting. Generally hormone levels do not require a fasting sample.
