No relation: If you have any type of glaucoma, taking metformin will not affect it.

Not likely: Metformin has been subject to concerns regarding increasing risk for glaucoma. However, popular opinion poles favor no real substantial concerns. At 2014 arvo meeting julia richards, et al.: "metformin use was associated with reduced risk of oag. This oag risk reduction was dose-dependent and independent of glycemic control; other diabetes medications did not confer a similar risk reduction".
