Many things: Keep in contact with your physician to make sure your diabetes is well controlled. Your immune system is "sluggish" when blood sugars are high, thus chronic infection can occur with uncontrolled diabetes. Other things you can do: eat healthy, get adequate amount of vit d and c, stay active, maintain a healthy weight, maintain good sleep hygiene, get your vaccinations per guidelines, wash hands...
