A member asked:

What are the side effects of taking glucophage (metformin) tab and daonil for diabetes control?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not many: Hi. Metformin can cause GI upset fairly common, but better if dose is slowly titrated upward); if used in kidney disease patients, it can cause a serious illness, lactic acidosis (very rare). Glibenclamide/glyburide can cause low blood sugar (rare) or rash (also rare); it is a very archaic diabetes drug. Good luck!
