Possible sinusitis: Chronic sinus drainage can cause throat irritation and irritation to the stomach. Conversely, excess stomach acid can cause irritation in the throat. Needs medical evaluation- may need to try each potential cause to see what is going on.

Acid reflux: It's possible that your chronic throat problem is related to the acid problem in your stomach. Sometimes acid reflux can move from the stomach through the esophagus and into the throat/mouth area. It would be a good idea for you to discuss it with your doctor for a complete evaluation. In the meantime, you can try an over the counter acid blocking med and see if your throat feels better.

Reflux and hydration: These symptoms may or may not be related. Make sure you are hydrated and then try saline (salt water) nasal spray. For your stomach acid try antireflux meds and modify your diet: eat bland foods; avoid spicy dishes; limit caffeine, cholocate, mint teas; avoid going to bed on a full stomachl; limit citrus fruits; limit tomato based products.
