Acid reflux: It's possible that your chronic throat problem is related to the acid problem in your stomach. Sometimes acid reflux can move from the stomach through the esophagus and into the throat/mouth area. It would be a good idea for you to discuss it with your doctor for a complete evaluation. In the meantime, you can try an over the counter acid blocking med and see if your throat feels better.
