Possible reflux: Many patients with acid reflux have a sensation of a lump in the throat. Many of these have "silent" reflux, meaning that they do not have heartburn or indigestion. If the feeling of a lump does not go away completely with the use of a reflux medicine such as Prilosec otc, you need to see an ENT doctor to have an examination of the throat and voice box area in the office.
