No: Removal of herniated disc should not affect sleeping patterns.

Possible but: Not likely. You may have pain with specific movements that wake you just out of deep sleep at night, but dont pull you all the way to wakefullness, but you would normally feel some of this pain during the day otherwise with increased movement. About 40 percent of asymptomatic (no pain) people have bulging discs and sleep has never been found to be affected in these asymptomatic patients.
