High Ldl: Yes you can eat walnuts.You need to see your doctor to see if you need to be started on a drug such as a statin to lower your very high ldl, especially if you have diabetes, cad, HTN etc.

Bad Cholesterol: Diet does not affect the ldl. This 'bad cholesterol' is controlled mostly by genetics. It can really only be lowered by medication. Why would a walnut be the thing you ask about? It seems like a minor player in a full and rounded diet?
