Complicated: Depending on why you got a blood clot and other conditions present at the time of the diagnosis of the clot you might be getting different medications. For example if there is also a diagnosis of cancer a physician might be more inclined to use an injection instead of a pill to treat a lung clot. Your risk of bleeding, kidney function and other medications present will determine which the best is.
