Many are good.: Toothpaste has agents in it, like Fluoride to prevent tooth and gum (gingiva) disease. Mouthwashes, like listerine are also good since they kill bacteria. Many brands of both these items are effective. Common toothpaste brands are colgate, crest, and listerine. Listerine and scope are common mouthwash brands.

Some choices... : Some good choices are vitymir. It is a natural toothpaste and mouth wash. Another you might try is dr. Sharp's and dr. Katz is another good choice. Coconut oil is a good thing to swish for holistic patients who appreciate the benefits of this natural medium chain fatty acid. Swish 5 minutes and spit. Repeat 2 times. Important; see a dentist, as mouth rises will not manage periodontal disease.

Any paste: Any toothpaste is good for your gum disease since the outcome of oral hygiene depends mostly on mechanical cleaning (brushing and floss), not chemical (mouthwash). For sensitive teeth, sensodyne (high Fluoride content) is recommended for comfort during oral hygiene effort. Nonalcohol mouthwash, such as biotene, is recommended for dry mouth, sjogren syndrome, burning mouth syndrome, lichen planus.

Technique!!!: The technique of proper cleaning under the gums/between the teeth is way more important than a certain toothpaste and mouthwash.. However, i recommend peridex(rinse) and crest pro-health(toothpaste).
