Depends: If you are 3 months or more after surgery, it should not be a problem. If you are less than a month, it's probably not a good idea.

Yes: After the period or recovery passes, you should be able to do all your normal activities including snorkeling. The usual recovery period is 3-4 weeks, but every surgeon is a little different, so consult with him/her first. Hope this helps.
